 Windows95 Dial-Up Networking |

Welcome to the Windows95 Dial-Up Networking Tutorial. This tutorial is comprised of 3 steps.
Step 1 is installing the Dial-Up Networking software into Windows95.
Step 2 is adding the TCP/IP protocol to your Networking software.
Step 3 is creating the esn.net settings to dial in with.
Before You Start1. Make sure Windows 95 recognizes your
modem. Right-click on "My Computer", select "Properties", then
select "Device Manager". See if there is a modem and what Win95 thinks it is.
2. Go to our Settings Page, locate
your dial-up area and print out or copy the information required for your area.
Step 1
To install Dial-Up Networking:
- 0. Before starting, place your Windows95 CD into your CD-ROM drive, or have your disks handy.
- 1. Click on START, then SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL.
- 2. Double click on ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
- 3. Click on the WINDOWS SETUP tab. (look along the top to find it)
- 4. Click on COMMUNICATIONS, then DETAILS.
- 5. Check the checkbox that says DIAL-UP NETWORKING.
- 6. Click OK on all the menus back to the Control Panel.
- 7. Windows95 will then install Dial-Up Networking.
Step 2
To add TCP/IP:
- 0. Before starting, place your Windows95 CD into your CD-ROM drive, or have your disks handy.
- 1. Click on START, then SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL.
- 2. Double click on NETWORK.
- 3. Click on ADD, then PROTOCOL, then ADD.
- 4. Select MICROSOFT as the manufacturer, then TCP/IP as the protocol.
- 5. Click OK on all the menus back to the Control Panel.
- 6. Windows95 will then add TCP/IP.
